Andreas History of the State of NE, pub 1882 


Otoe co, NE: JOHN C. WATSON, District Attorney, came to Nebraska City in
May, 1873, and has been engaged in practice ever since. He has been
District
Attorney for the Second Judicial District since January, 1879, being
elected
in 1878 and 1880. He was born in Memphis, Tenn., September 20, 1850. When
a
youth he went to Miami County, Ohio, and lived there several years. He
then
returned to Tennessee, and remained two or three years. He went to Ann
Arbor, Mich., and spent two years in the university, graduating in 1869;
then spent a year in the medical department, and two years in the law
department, graduating in 1873. He commenced practice at Nebraska City,
having been admitted to the bar at Detroit, Mich., in 1873.
