T. Andreas, Chicago, IL. Franklin County -- EZRA V. SAYERS, farmer, Section 15, P. O. Ottawa, was born in Miami County, Ohio, in 1838, and reared on a farm. He taught school in the Southern States for several years, and in August, 1861, went to Macomb, Ill., where he enlisted in Company D, Twenty-eighth Illinois Infantry, serving three years. After the war he read law at Troy, Ohio, for three years, and during two years of that period held the office of Deputy Clerk of District Court. In July, 1868, he came to Franklin County, and has since followed agricultural pursuits. Since September, 1879 he has resided in Ottawa. He has about 365 acres of land in Lincoln and Ottawa Townships, on which there are three residences. He cultivates 250 acres of his land and raises considerable live stock. Mr. Sayers is a successful farmer, and is considered one of the enterprising men of the county.
