Water is forced into the barn for use of stock by windmill pressure. The buildings are located on an elevation, but the general surface of the farm is level and its soil composed of sand, gravel and clay, portions being black muck. Mr. Manchester has resided on this farm for over 71 years, his grandfather being the former owner. He married Nettie Cunningham, February. 22, 1870, and they have one daughter, now Mrs. Eva May Adams.
