This farm is owned by Charles O. Manchester, Post Office Perry, Ohio, one and one-half miles distant. It contains 110.20 acres in Township 11, Range 7, Perry Township. Grapes, 24 acres, mostly, Concords and Niagaras, four acres in other varieties of fruit, general farm products consisting of oats, wheat, corn, etc., constitute the farms industries. The fields, stockyards and buildings are watered by brooks and wells, the water being forced to buildings by windmill power. The building improvements are in fine condition. There are two substantial residence besides a tenant house and stock barn 36 x 40, horse and carriage barn 24 x 60, storage barn 36 x 60, pig sty 40 x 30, and several small buildings for sheep, poultry etc. The farms surface is level, its soil composed of gravel and sand and loam. Eli Graves was a former owner, he selling to Marcus Winchester; Winchester to Orsemus Manchester;thence to Elmer Manchester by will and purchase. The owner was born in the Manchester homestead, and his life those far has been devoted to farming pursuits, and he is responsible for the present high rating of the farm. He was married Nov. 11, 1896, to Miss Ella Hurlburt of Perry.
