Littlefield, Post Office, Painesville, Ohio, three and one-half miles distant. It contains 40 acres on the Hale Road one-half mile from the Electric Railway Station. It is devoted almost entirely to soil products common to this section, including, corn, oats, wheat, rye and potatoes. About five acres of the place are in pasture and the remainder in meadow. The water supply is furnished from never-failing wells for buildings and stock. Its name is derived from location. Buildings are all in best of repair and include a general barn 26 x 30, with cement floors, cattle barn, 30 x 40, with an addition 16 x 30, with cement flooring. The farm's surface is generally level and its soil a sandy loam. Homer W. Littlefield purchased this farm in 1865, and has resided here since such purchase, being one of the old settlers of Perry Township. He was married to Mary Ann Irvine, March 2, 1865. Mr. Littlefield is one of the practical farmers of this section.
