Reed, Post Office, Perry, Ohio, R. F. D. No. 2, one and one-fourth miles distant and contains 103.15 acres. Its location is on the South Ridge Road. The special feature of the Farm's resources is its dairy which embraces 14 head of high grade Guernsey's, the average daily product being 15 gallons of milk and four gallons of cream. Soil products are general in character. Its water supply is received from wells and springs, one of the spring and the dairy are responsible for the Farm's name. All buildings are in excellent condition, the residence containing eight rooms. The barn is supplied with cement flooring, the principal barn being 80 x 40, dairy house supplied with spring water and all sanitary improvements. the farms surface is level, except somewhat undulating in certain portions and its soil a clay loam. This farm came into possession of the present owner by will from William Reed, his father. Herman A. Reed married Addie Keener, Jan. 18, 1882, and their family consists of two children, now living. Mr. Reed has been active in all matters pertaining to the best interest of his town and country.
