Ada, was born in 1841 in Logan County, Ohio. He is a son of Eli and Mary (Fenner) Pugh, both natives of Virginia and of Welsh descent. His father, a farmer, came to Ohio in 1842 and settled on Section 32, in Liberty Township. He had a family of eight children, of whom five are living. He died in 1879. Our subject learned farming for his occupation, and has followed it through life. He was married, in 1861, to Elizabeth Hullibarger, a native of Perry County, and a daughter of Morgan Hullibarger, of German lineage. Three children resulted from the union-S.A., Ella and William. Mr. and Mrs. Pugh are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The latter is a Democrat in politics and has been Trustee of the township for three year.
