Butler County --

L. C. SLUSSER, farmer and stock raiser, Section 9, P. O. Benton. Mr. S.
was born in Darke County, Ohio, September 7, 1848; was reared in his
native State. For three years was a resident of Logan County, Ill.,
where he was married to Miss Mattie E. Parks. He became a resident of
Kansas in 1878, locating on present farm. Mr. S. is a fancier of fine
stock, and was among the first to introduce fine grade horses in Benton
Township. His stables are well supplied, and in horse flesh he keeps in
progress with the country.
