Andreas, Chicago, IL. Douglas County -- IRA O. RARICK, farmer, Section 16, P. O. Globe, came to this State in 1866, settling in Douglas County; moved on to his farm in Marion Township in 1872. He owns eighty acres, which have been well improved. He was born in Darke County, Ohio, December 23, 1845. In 1851, he moved with his parents to Jay County, Ind. Was educated in the high school of Garden Grove, Iowa, and engaged in school teaching for about two years; but farming has been his principal business. Mr. Rarick was married in Osceola, Clark Co., Iowa, August 22, 1869, to Miss Sarah A., daughter of George Roberts, Esq. Mrs. R. is a lady of culture and possesses decided literary talent. They are members of the Christian Church.
