ELIJAH D GAMBLE was born at Shelby, Richland County, September 9, 1830. His 
wife was born in Maryland, February 13, 1838. They have two children, Ida I. 
and Flora A. He is the son of John and Elizabeth Gamble, and the brother of 
Hannah, James, Charles, Harvey, Eliza, Israel, John H., Cynthia, and Henry W. 
Mrs. Gamble was Kate Penner, daughter of Peter and Rebecca Penner, and is the 
sister of John, Mary, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Margaret, William and Addie.
