SAMUEL B DAVIS, publisher of the "Bluffton Standard," was born at Lafayette, 
Indiana, August 28, 1840. His wife was born at Poughkeepsie, N. Y., June 18, 
1843. They have one child, Bessie. Mr. D.'s parents are George W. and Ann 
Davis. He has one brother, Geo. W. Davis, and one sister, Lydia J. Mrs. D. 
was Mary Myers. Her parents, John B. and Phoebe H. Myers, have five children, 
James W., Mary, John S., Julia and Joseph F.
