ELISHA COPELAND, was born in Clinton County, Oct. 6, 1823. His wife was born 
in Champaign County, Dec. 15, 1832. They have five children--Irene, Alice, 
Armena M., John W. and Josie V. Irene is the wife of Calvin Turner, of Hardin 
County. Mrs. Copeland was Elizabeth Brunstetter, daughter of John and Effie 
Brunstetter, who came to Allen County in 1830. Their children are Louisa, 
Charles, Elizabeth, Henry, Rebecca, Mahala and John W. Mr. Copeland's parents 
are Joseph and Elizabeth. Their children are Abner, Elisha, Philip, Mary, 
Judith, John, William and Elizabeth.
