JOHN CLEMENT and his wife are both natives of Germany. He was born in 
1843--she in 1845. They have four children--Anna, John, Mary and Peter. Mr. 
Clement's parents, John and Mary Clement, still live in Germany. They have 
eight children--Mary, Michael, Louis, Anna, Helena, Catharine, Mary Ann and 
John. Mrs. C. is a daughter of Peter and Eva Shuck, who came to Allen County 
in 1850, and whose children are, Adam, Peter, John, Caroline, Joseph, Jacob, 
Burney, Martin and Anna.
