ALVAH CLARK, of the firm of Clark and Franks, Bluffton, is the son of 
Jonathan and Hannah Clark, who had a family of twelve children. They came to 
this county in 1854, from Mahoning County, where Alvah was born, September 
26, 1845. His wife was Victoria McConnell, daughter of J. T. and Eliza 
McConnell. She was born in Hancock County, March 15, 1848. They have three 
children, Aura, Maggie, and Bertha.
