JOSEPH BALLARD and Cynthia (Levally) Ballard have seven children--George W., 
Sallie A., Susan, Lucinda, William W., James R., and Lee Ballard. Mr. Ballard 
was born in Adams County, December 19, 1809. His wife, daughter of John and 
Elizabeth Levally, was born in Fayette County, July 25, 1816. Mr. B. is a son 
of Lyman and Sallie Ballard, and brother of William, Nathan, John, Elizabeth 
and Jackson Ballard. Mrs. B. has seven brothers and sisters--Phoebe, Jacob, 
William H., John J., Louis F., Louisa A. and Joseph W. Levalley.
